Shenzhen: Our entry into China

Today, we are very excited to announce the start of our next great adventure: Totachi in China! Though our products have been distributed in the Chinese market over the past couple of years, we now seek to deepen our involvement in the Middle Kingdom with the opening of our office in Shenzhen.

China’s car population has already surpassed that of the United States, and is now the largest in the world- with even greater growth to be seen in the coming years. Additionally, the government’s focus on improving nationwide air quality means that the demand for high quality lubricant and engine care products will vastly increase.  With the rising standard of living and greater demand for premium products, it is now the best time to enter the Chinese market!

Our new office is strategically situated in Shenzhen CBD- for several reasons. The city is a melting pot of domestic and international talent, attracted by the infrastructure and opportunities created over the past years. Secondly, there are many tax-free zones in the city which we currently leverage. Lastly, we are now situated close to many ports, as well as to Hong Kong, where we have a strong presence. All these make Shenzhen the natural choice- the base from which we intend to expand tremendously throughout China, from the south to the north.

Over the next three years we intend to build our distribution network up along the east coast of China before moving west. Plans are already in place for expansion throughout Guangdong Province, then into Fujian Province.
